The screener is based on developmental data that has been collected for decades through national and international research studies. In addition, Saffira who has created the screener is a certified practising speech pathologist with over 13 years of clinical experience and additional post graduate qualifications. It must be noted that the screener identifies risk of delay and is not a full assessment tool. As such, should be interpreted as a guide, and should not to be used as a diagnostic tool.Â
Yes, we have a in person clinic in Perth Western Australia where we offer in person  assessment and intervention for children. From time to time Saffira will offer online consults so feel free to email the clinic – admin@onlinespeechie.comÂ
No, the aim of the Online Speechie Screener is to identify whether your child shows signs of delay or red-flags of underlying disorders/disability that warrant further investigation. That way parents can make an informed decision as to whether their child is ok, OR needs practice at home OR needs ongoing therapy with a professional. The results are not used for diagnostic purposes.
