Watch how I help Billy learn to say “see” while sharing a book. I use simple phrases like “I see…” and repeat them often. When he struggles, I simplify the model and keep going. Billy learns how to make comments and label what he sees—an essential step in building real communication, not just copying.
Note: Billy’s language development is typical. If your child is a late talker, they may need several weeks of exposure to similar exercises before they start imitating. All you need to do is highlight and emphasise the words on repeat, just like I have done with Billy.
